(From the Wiśniowiecki family, related to the Jagiellonians, son of Hieronim the hero and Gryzelda Zamoyska; contrary to expectation and to his own wish elected king on 19 June 1669; worn down by the cares of a short reign and by the hatred of the envious, he died in Lwów in 1673 at the age of 34, having reigned for 4 years, on 11 November).

This piece is an old cast from the Białogon foundry, established in the first half of the 17th century. It reproduces the medal from the renowned Royal Suite series, one of the most sought-after groups in Polish medallic art. Medals from this series - created by J. J. Reichel (I. I. REICHEL F / I. I. R. F) and court medalist Jan Filip Holzhaeusser (I.P.F.H.).
