1.57g. 21mm. UNC/UNC. An outstanding, well-centered exemplar in high relief, retaining traces of mint luster beneath beautiful old toning, representing a very beautiful coin of this uncommon and intriguing type. 

Obv.: Cross pattée with pellets in quarters; surrounded by dashes, interrupted by crosses and a ringlet (imitation of legend). 

Rev.: Stylized facade of the church with four columns, cross in centre; surrounded by dashes, interrupted by crosses and ringlets (imitation of legend). Raised rims. 

The type comes from the Carolingian “XPISTIANA RELIGIO” of Emperor Louis I, 814-840.
