Obv.: Personifications of Flanders and Germany walking arm in arm, both draped in classical attire, the male figure holding a harp, the female a lyre. In the background - cityscape of Ghent. Below - crowned Flemish lion shield atop crossed branches and musical instruments.

Legend around:

VLAEMSCH-DUITSCH ZANGVERBOND

Rev.: Lyre above crossed laurel and oak branches; at the bottom - Belgian arms with two trumpets.
