(In memory of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the House of Romanov 1613-1913).

The commemorative medal for the Tercentenary of the House of Romanov was instituted on 21 February 1913 to mark the 300th anniversary of the dynasty. The light-bronze medal was awarded to all individuals who, as of that date, held court positions or served in the military, naval or civil branches of the Imperial government; to the cadets and pages of special military classes; to all lower ranks of the army, navy, border guard corps, gendarmerie, police, convoy units and prison guard who were on active service on 21 February 1913; and to those who played a significant role in developing the plans for the jubilee celebrations or participated prominently in the festivities themselves. The medals were struck in light bronze specifically for this wide award distribution.
