Obv.: Draped bust of King Karl XI facing right.

Rev.: Draped bust of Queen Ulrika Eleonora facing left.

Struck to commemorate the royal wedding on May 6, 1680. Although the engagement had been arranged as early as 1675, the Scanian War delayed the marriage. It was resumed after the peace treaty of Lund in 1679 and became part of the peace terms. The bride was escorted from Copenhagen by Swedish envoy Johan Gyllenstierna and arrived at Skottorp Castle, Halland, on May 6, where the couple was married the same day by court preacher Haqvin Spegel.
