Scandinavian Imitation of England Penny, Aethelred II, long cross type (c.997-1003). 

Peck marked. A very beautiful specimen, retaining mint luster under gray olive-green natural toning. 

Obv.: Draped bust left; “+DEMRD REX ΛN”. 

Rev: Voided long cross, with triple-crescent ends; “+EI-NΛ-ΩD-MNR” or similar (counterclockwise). 

Spink 1151; North 774 for prototype; Malmer (SMH) cf. 83 (Obv.) and 85 (Rev.).
