4.35g. 21mm. UNC/UNC. A magnificent, lustrous exemplar with well-centered strike and attractive surfaces — an unusually well-preserved example of this iconic and widely recognized type.

Obv: Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator; three pellets at edge of each arm of nimbus cross; “+ IҺS XPS RЄX RЄGNANTIЧM”.

Rev: Crowned facing busts of Constantine VII on left, wearing loros, and Romanus II on right, wearing chlamys, holding patriarchal cross between them; “+ COҺSTAҺT CЄ ROMAҺ AЧGG I R”.
