Obv.: Bust of Wilhelm to right, wearing ruffled collar; “·MONE·ARG·CVR”.

Rev.: Polish and Lithuanian arms; above, III; legend in three lines “GROS·AR TR DVCVM·CV ET·SE”, below, date ˘98˘.

In 1596, Friedrich Kettler (1587-1642) and Wilhelm Kettler (1587-1616) split the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia, with Willhelm getting Courland and Friedrich getting Semigallia.
