This medal was issued in 1939 to commemorate five years since the political events of May 15, 1934. The obverse features a portrait of Kārlis Ulmanis, while the reverse reflects the importance placed on labor and agriculture in Latvian society at the time. Designed by Latvian sculptor B. Dzenis, and struck by the Swiss firm Huguenin Frères, the medal combines national symbolism with high-quality execution.
