Dr. Svetozar Miletić (1826–1901) was a Serbian politician, lawyer, publicist, and the leading figure of the Serbian national movement in Vojvodina during the second half of the 19th century. He advocated for the rights of Serbs within the Austro-Hungarian Empire and was the founder and editor of the newspaper Zastava. Miletić played a key role in the establishment of the People's Radical Party. Due to his political activism, he was repeatedly imprisoned. A monument honoring him stands in the city of Novi Sad.
