Silver hallmarks: upper part of reverse side stamped with assay mark "84 ЯЛ" (metal purity and initials of assay master Ya.N. Lyapunov, St. Petersburg assay district).

Without connecting ring.

Engraving on reverse in four lines: Ф.Л. / Эрглисъ / 31 Мар / 1899.

The Imperial Philanthropic Society, under the patronage of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, operated from 1883 and supported impoverished children through apprenticeships, shelters, Sunday schools, and financial aid. Tokens were issued according to special regulations established on June 7/16, 1892, and made of gold or silver.
