Russia Rouble 1725 СПБ - "Sun Ruble" - Peter I the Great (1682-1725) - NGC VF 30

Without epaulets, 'СПБ' under the portrait, a wreath with ribbons, and a dot above the portrait. A very rare portrait type of the 'Sun Rouble.' On the reverse, a cross within the sun. There is a theory that the cross in the sun appeared after Peter's death, and among collectors, such roubles are referred to as 'mourning roubles.' Diakov 1555 R3; Bitkin 1366 R1; 5 Rub. according to Petrov. Very rare.
