A very rare example of overstrike with good traces, bypassing the stage of the 10 Kopecks 1796, directly from a five-kopeck coin 1776 EM. Residual traces of edge design transition from meshed to corded and vice versa. Seldom do the traces of the previous coin show up clearly. Bitkin P109 R1. Rare!
